OJAI!
Yes, we did get back about a week ago from a week long trip to sunny, hot Ojai, California! Uncle Pat and Houston joined as, as we visited Uncle Ryan and the Ojai family. The week was relaxing as we enjoyed walks along Shelf Road, tons of Guacamole and fresh OJ, the beach, and oh yeah, our fourth wedding anniversary, and my 30th birthday! Here are a couple of pictures from our trip:
Woo hoo, we're here! Just waiting for our luggage.

Pat & Houston at the beach.
On the beach with Daddy!
Yum, trying Avacado for the first time!
Visiting Uncle Mike!
Uncle Ryan feeding William!
Enjoying the sunny beach in Santa Barbara!
Four years ago we were married in the Rose Garden at Woodland Park Zoo. For our 4th Wedding Anniversary, we visited the Santa Barbara Zoo! We saw lions, meerkats, giraffes, elephants, etc. William loved it! The moneys were his favorite.
30th Birthday dinner at Bocalli's. We were going to sit outside, but it was way too hot...103!

8 Months!
William is such a sweet, easy going, funny little man. When he wakes up he is all smiles, and often times will be caught talking to himself. Will loves being outdoors and being held, but he is also content sitting on the floor with his toys and is fascinated by labels. Even though he isn't crawling yet, he still manages to find Bailee's toys, the laptop cord, and he has perfected spinning around in a circle. We have a lot of work getting our house baby proof, and we really need to get going on that. Crawling I'm sure is any day. He has started to reach for us to hold him, and thinks we are hilarious.
I wish we could say sleep was improving, but it's not. We are getting up anywhere between 2 - 3 times a night. We are up for about 10 minutes nursing each time, and William is quick to fall back asleep. I really hope we outgrow this stage soon!
Solid foods are a huge hit. We haven't come across a food that Will doen't like. We aren't feeding ourselves yet, but Will does like Puffs. He can pick up the Puffs, they just don't find their way to his mouth. They instead land on the floor, where Bailee swoops in to help with clean-up.
Happy (Be-lated) 4th of July!
Well, the weather was less than ideal, but we still had a great 4th of July with family! In the morning, Will and I supervised Jon and Papa assembling a pergola for the back deck. It really turned out looking great, and hopefully, we start experiencing more summerlike weather so we can enjoy it! We all went to Nana and Grandpa's house for an early dinner of crab soup, steak, corn, potato salad, and green beans...it was so good! We were in bed early and could hear the fireworks going off around us. Maybe next year we'll stay up to see some fireworks.

Weekend in Olympia!
Finally, Will got to meet Cara and Brian! We picked both Cara and Brian up from the airport and headed down to Summit Lake (15 miles west of Olympia) where we enjoyed a relaxing weekend with Cara's family, and Lori and Dave.
The lake water was a little too cold...
And the boys played with their air soft guns. Will is going to have tons of fun with these guys. They definitely loved him!

Best Photographer Ever!
Monday we had a playdate with the Bugbee boys. While Alex napped, William was content playing with all of Alex's toys. Jen also took the opportunity to take a couple of pictures. Seriously, could she be any more great at it?! Thanks Jen, you're the best!

Finally, It Happened!
We've been busy in the White household the past few weeks. Between graduation parties for our cousin Jane and uncle Patrick, and birthday party for Daddy, Will's first tooth finally decided to make its appearance. This is the best picture I managed to take of Will's tooth, you can kind of see it...bottom left tooth. He's been a man on the move lately, with endless energy. Heaven help us when he learns how to crawl!
Oh, and we're sporting a couple of war wounds in the photo, a scratch on his nose that you can't see, and a nice bruise above his left eye from bonking his head.
