5 Months!

Yes, Matthew is 5 months old already! And this kid is showing no signs in slowing down. He's quickly moved from 3-6 to 6-12 month clothes and his 9 month pj's barely fit anymore!

We still have him sleeping in his Pack n Play in our room, but will most likely be moving him into his room when we get back from our Ojai trip. We are getting up just once in the middle of the night, around 2:30, and then again at 6:30. We really can't complain.

He's really taken off with his rolling and can roll front to back, and back to front. In fact, it's as if he's discovered this is a way to get from point A to point B. If he's on the floor, he's non-stop rolling.

We've started solid foods and it's going okay. Some days he's really into the rice cereal, and other days I'm lucky if he'll eat 3 spoon fulls.

We've truly been blessed with another easy going, beautiful, happy baby boy!

Big Boy Bed!

The last 2 days William has taken his nap in his big boy bed, ie "The Boat Bed" and loves it, as evidenced by his awesome bed head! The first day was a 2.5 hour nap, and yesterday was a little over 3 hours. This weekend we will be moving his bed into his room. Hopefully he takes to sleeping at night the way he has his naps.

Jump, Jump, Jumping

We finally got the Jumperoo out of storage for Matthew, and what a hit it is!

William seems to be a pretty big fan of it too, and insists on having a turn whenever Matthew is in it.

Oh, and William did his first poop in the potty on Saturday (February 4th)! We couldn't be more proud of him. We were finishing up dinner when William said "poopie." We asked if he had to go, and he nodded yes. We asked if he wanted to go sit on his potty, and he nodded yes. We asked if he wanted to poop in his potty, and he nodded yes. So, he sat on his potty, and we waited and sure enough, he did have to go.

Rolling, Rolling, Rolling

It's official, Mr. Matthew rolled over for the first time on Saturday (February 4th). This was the best "action" photo I could get. He had already rolled from him stomach to his back. Now we just have to work on getting him from back to his stomach.

Rice Cereal!

Well, we let Matthew try rice cereal for the first time last night. I'm not sure if he's a fan of the stuff yet. Only time will tell. William insisted that "the baby" try some cereal as well. So, we let William "try" a bowl of Cheerios. The boy loved his Cheerios so much, he had 3 bowls!
